"Stranger In Blue Suede Shoes"... genialidad de Kevin Ayers

Es muy difícil responder a la pregunta "¿Cuál es tu canción favorita?", porque hay millones de canciones que podrían contestar a eso... a veces depende del momento, otras veces es que no hay forma de medir temas de bestial calidad (todo esto desde mi punto de vista, claro, otros dirán que lo que me gusta no vale nada... y lo discutimos... :P). No obstante, últimamente tengo cada dos por tres en la cabeza un tema de Kevin Ayers que se llama "Stranger in blue suede shoes", me parece alucinante todo... si lo estoy escuchando y me preguntan que cuál es mi canción favorita contestaría que, sin duda, ésta... y ya sólo por eso puedo afirmar que este tema está en mi top musical de temas imprescindibles. 

¿Por qué?... ¡primero hay que escucharlo! (por cierto, puse este vídeo porque alguien se curró una animación personalizada, está simpática y es muy ilustrativa, la verdad, jeje)........ ahí va:

(Versión inicial del tema, que se publicó como bonus track. De 1971, aunque en el vídeo ponga 72, del disco Whatevershebringswesing ... la versión final salió como single en su momento) 

Hay un pequeño "traspiés" hacia el minuto 2..  La versión final que salió como single, y que es más "completa", pero no tiene animación [jeje], está aquí: 

 

Pues por esa intro que comienza y de repente te arrastra, al tema en sí, con un "golpe magistral".... por esa tesitura de voz de Kevin Ayers grave y profunda... por un piano mortal que te transporta a otra dimensión, que machaca sin piedad al llegar "arriba"...y luego se mantiene jugando de fondo non stop ... porque la música parece que hable....porque no hay un solo momento de bajón o pausa en el disfrute de la canción... porque Kevin Ayers da las gracias en la letra... y después de la audición las gracias hay que dárselas a él: THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Aquí dejo la letra, aunque, en resumen (alerta spoiler!), se trata de uno al que le dicen en un bar que no sirven a extraños con zapatos de gamuza azul, entonces dicho "extraño" invita al portero del bar a un peta y se hacen amigos.. así en resumidas cuentas, mola mucho más leerla entera:
